Albert Einstein once said: “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.”
In the world of baseball, the Toronto Blue Jays are insane. Every single one of them goes up to the plate to hit home runs, no matter how futile, because it’s the only way they know how to hit.
I actually wrote a post about this right here:
That needs to change. We have seen the same show for two years and it hasn’t worked. It’s time to switch it up. This team is ancient. They can’t run, they can’t defend, and the offence is inconsistent. If they ever hope to make it to the playoffs again, they need to get younger, faster, and more versatile and this won’t happen until they make some major changes.
Also, what on earth was yesterday’s game against the Tigers? It was absolutely embarrassing to watch. When the bases are loaded, you have a 3-2 count, and the game is on the line, your only job is to throw it in the strike zone. Challenge the hitter to actually do something instead of running away with your tail between your legs. That was a revolting way to end a game. What a joke.
