They started the season with a 2-11 record, the worst in franchise history. Then their star player Josh Donaldson got hurt which infected the team with the injury bug. Every Blue Jays’ fan’s worst nightmare came true. But then an odd thing started happening.
The Blue Jays started to win.
The bullpen threw better, the offence came alive, the new pitchers performed splendidly, and the defence remained solid. Now they are 5 games away from .500.
Who would’ve guessed that in April? This resilience that we’re seeing with the Blue Jays isn’t new but is much stronger than anyone could’ve guessed. They are showing everybody their mental strength and the depth of this organisation.
